Combat Corner’s Academy Gi Program is a special program for academies, gyms, and teams that allows you to easily and quickly create fully customized Jiu Jitsu gis and gi patches. Further, with our premium full dye sublimation process, private labeling, and more, our custom gis and patches help you build a truly unified team and design the ultimate custom Jiu Jitsu gis and patches to showcase your students’ accomplishments and team pride.
How Does the Academy Gi Program Work?
Through the Academy Gi Program, you can order any of our Jit Jitsu gis. Once you join and order your gis, we customize them for you by producing and sewing on your custom academy patches in house.
And creating custom patches is simple and easy. For your custom patches, you choose the size, placement, number of patches, and design. After that, you select between high end Dye Sublimated, Embroidered, and Woven Gi Patches.
What’s the Minimum Order Amount and Turnaround Time?
The Academy Gi Program has no minimum order quantities. So, whether you need 1 custom gi or 1,000, you can order exactly what you need. And, your custom gis and custom patches are made right here in Milwaukee, WI. So, you get super fast deliveries. What Custom Jiu Jitsu Gi Patches are Available to Order?
When you join the Academy Gi Program, you can create high quality custom Jiu Jitsu gi patches for your academy and team. Through the program, we offer three different types of custom patches. We provide Dye Sublimated Patches, Embroidered Patches, and Woven Patches. So, to help you find the best custom Jiu Jitsu gi patches for your team, here’s more information about each one available in the Academy Gi Program.
DYE SUBLIMATED PATCHES
Dye sublimated gi patches are a more “Modern Gi Patch.” These patches are created using a process that permanently dyes your design directly into the patch material.
Comparatively, embroidered and woven patches are created by stitching threads onto a backing material. The dye sublimation process produces a thinner, more flexible patch, and it creates a more detailed patch design.
EMBROIDERED PATCHES
Where dye sublimated patches are more modern, embroidered gi patches are best defined as the “Classic Gi Patch.”
With this type of patch, an embroidery design is threaded onto a substrate. This process creates a deeper, more three dimensional look compared to woven and dye sublimated patches. And the embroidery process gives you that “Classic Patch” texture and feel.
Embroidered patches are best used to make patch designs that “pop” and also stand out. However, these patches are not a good choice for fine detail designs with intricate shading and varying hues.
WOVEN PATCHES
Woven gi patches stand midway between embroidered and dye sublimated patches. These patches utilize a thinner thread, and they also have a more traditional look, which makes them similar to embroidered patches.
However, because they use a thinner thread, woven patches don’t have a three dimensional look like embroidered patches. Where embroidered patches stand out, woven gi patches lay flat.
Also, because woven patches use thinner thread, they can create more detailed designs like dye sublimated patches. So, if you want a traditional look and feel combined with a higher level of detail, woven patches are your best choice.
